REACHREADY LAUNCHES EXCLUSIVE NEW “MEMBER LOGO”

REACHReady has launched a new “member logo” that its Gold subscribers can now use on their company websites and promotional material.

The logo was created as a way of helping REACHReady's Gold subscribers demonstrate openly that they’re on the road to REACH and CLP compliance in having access to the expertise available via the REACHReady Helpdesk.

REACHREADY CONGRATULATES ITS MEMBERS ON MEETING THE FIRST REGISTRATION DEADLINE

Today was perhaps the most important date in this year’s calendar for the many thousands of companies supplying chemicals in the EU. Not only was it the day after the first REACH registration deadline, but it also saw changes to safety data sheets under REACH and a host of new duties under the Classification, Labelling and Packaging (“CLP”) Regulation. Under the REACHregulation, companies must submit registration dossiers covering each use of the chemicals they sell in the EU.

REACHREADY SURVEY SHOWS SIEFS ARE MAKING PROGRESS

REACHReady surveyed its members for the second time this spring to find out how they were getting on in the SIEFs.

The main outcome of the survey was that one third of the SIEFs working towards a 2010 deadline had still not appointed a Lead Registrant. Significantly, 30% of respondents had little confidence that they would meet all their registration deadlines in time even where a lead had been appointed.
